What duas (prayers) are good to say for Imam Mahdi (AS)?
There are many different duas which can be said for this purpose. Some of the more common ones which can all be found in the Mafatih ul-Jinan are listed here: 1.Nudba: This dua can be read every Friday, Eid of Ghadir, Eid of Fitr and Eid of Adha (Qurban). 2.Ahd: It has been narrated from Imam Sadiq (AS) that: “He who reads this dua for 40 mornings will be a helper of the Qa’em and if he dies before his appearance God will bring him out of his grave (bring him back to life to serve Imam Mahdi (AS)), and for every word of this dua that he reads God will write for him a thousand good deeds and forgive a thousand sins. 3.Ziarat of Ale Yasin and the Dua after it: This ziarat and dua were taught by Imam Mahdi (AS) to Mohammad Homeiri through a letter which was given to him (during the minor occultation). Imam (AS) wrote to him: “When you want to turn your attention to Allah through us or you want to turn your attention to us then say (this dua)…” 4.Salavat of Abolhasan Zarrab: This dua was taught to Abolhasan Zarrab by Imam Mahdi (AS). It has been greatly recommended to read this dua on Friday afternoons. 5.Dua of Allahuma arrefni nafsak: This is also a great dua which covers many aspects and has been greatly recommended.
