Due to special social and political environment of Imam Hasan al-Askari’s time, his holiness had recourse to writing letters to get his words and instructions heard and obeyed by his followers.

In a letter to the father of one of his best followers, Sheikh Sadouq he states:

I recommend :

1.forgiving others’ mistakes and faults

2.suppresing anger

3. treating kindly with relatives

4. sympathizing with others and making effort to actualize people’s wishes if  they are  in hardship or at ease

5.being patient if not knowledgeable about something

6.reaching insight in religion

7.thinking over todo-jobs and affairs

8.obeying holy Quran’s commands

9.being good-tempered

10.commanding others to do good deeds

11.forbiding others committing ill deeds

12. avoiding doing all religiously  unapproved deeds
