On the occasion of the 11th Zilqaeda, the auspicious birthday of Imam Ridha (a.s.), the eight Imam of the Shiites, we review briefly his holy life. A man says: I saw Imam Reza (A.S) who had gathered all his servants among the blacks and whites on the table cloth and was having food with them. I said, “ O son of the Messenger of Allah, I wish you had kept separate the table cloth of your servants. Imam (A.S) said, “ Keep quiet. Our Lord is one; our religion is one; our mother and father are one. The reward and punishment is based (only) on our actions and deeds”. A few sayings of the holy Imam (A.S) are: “ Expression of love and friendship towards the common people is half of wisdom” “ Offering a gift removes hatred and vengeance from the heart”. “ The one who does not have the spirit of expressing thanks and gratitude towards the creatures of Allah, will not be thankful for the bounties of his Lord too.” “The one who possesses good character and is more benevolent towards his own family members will be near to me on the day of Judgement”. We hope to succeed in following sincerely the sayings and deeds of this holy Imam (A.S) and set these as a pattern and example in our life. Ameen , O Lord of the Universe. Newer Items:
