Like Prophethood, Imamate is also a divine gift, which the Almighty
Allah bestows on His chosen and deserving creatures. For this divine
gift, age is not at all a criterion.
Imam Mohammed Taqi-Jawad Aaimma (A.S) is the ninth Imam of the Shias.
He attained the eminent status of Imamate while he was only eight or
nine years of age just like the case of Hazrat Yahya (A.S) who became
the Prophet during childhood.
Imam Jawad (A.S) would reply to the religious problems and the
difficulties of the people with the help of the divine knowledge and
wisdom while yet a child.
Due to excessive piety and abstemiousness, he was entitled as “ Taqi”.
Due to a lot of munificence and generosity, he was given the title of
Jawad”.
Hereunder, we narrate same sayings from his holiness.
-
The perfection of man lies in his wisdom.
-
The perfection of compassion is that one does not behave with
anyone in a manner which he does not like others to behave with him.
-
Humility is the adornment of greatness and distinction.
-
Three deeds of a person attracts the pleasure and satisfaction of the Almighty Allah:
-
Seeking the forgiveness of Allah excessively.
- Having a mild and gentle behaviour with the people.
- Giving abundant ‘Sadaqa’ (alms and donations).
-
Anyone possessing three characteristics will never regret and repent:
- Not making haste.
- Consulting and seeking advice of the people.
- After consultation and decision-making, putting full reliance and trust on the Almighty Allah.
We hope that the sayings and the traditions of Imam Jawad (A.S) are set as a clear guideline for all mankind.
We offer our condolence on the martyrdom of Imam Jawad (A.S) to our holy Imam Zaman (A.S) and all the Shiahs.
